Ann & Nancy Wilson (Heart) "Kicking & Dreaming"

When I recieved the book, I was expecting the standard faire of "skimming the surface" and "business as usual", I was pleasantly surprised! The book is a fascinating and intimate look into the lives of one of rock & roll's greatest song writing teams and most successful bands. The book is filled with candid stories and personal experiences from Ann and Nancy Wilson along with comments from close friends and band mates. 

Personally, If a book does not grab my attention from the start I lose interest really quick. This book grabs you, locks the doors and takes you along for the ride. This is a wonderful book about the personal experiences of one of the best drummers around, Joe Vitale. Zoro, "The Big Gig"

Zoro's book is packed with inspiration and useful tips for everyday life. Though mostly directed towards people in the music business. I thought of this book as a practical road-map to success for everyone, not just musicians. It is extremely well written, concise and a joy to read. As you read through the book, you begin to realize that there is a lot of room for improvement in everyone's life. The general premise is obviously about the music business but it also delves into relationships, family, spirituality and helping you to achieve your personal best. Sticks 'n' Skins


A must have book for anyone interested in the world of percussion. My wife gave me this book as a holiday gift and what a treat it is, all 9.5 pounds of it! I have had the pleasure of interviewing many drummers featured in the book and truly enjoy reading through it and learning more about the musicians and their craft. The book is filled with interesting stories and wonderful photography.
